12th Harpenden Scout Group are looking for new Beaver and Cub Leaders!

At Beavers, Cubs and Scouts everyone’s welcome.

We play games, learn new skills, earn badges and yes, even eat a marshmallow or two around the fire. From archery and fire-lighting to map reading and coding, no two weeks are the same — it’s all about adventure, friendship and trying something new.

As a Beaver, Cub or Scout Leader, you’ll help young people aged 6–14.5 build confidence, make friends and discover the world around them in a fun and supportive environment. You don’t need previous Scouting experience — just enthusiasm and a willingness to get involved. Volunteering is flexible, rewarding, and a great way to meet new people while supporting your local community.

Giving back will improve your wellbeing, equip you with skills for the future, and help you make a positive impact on the lives of young people.

Whatever your background, identity or ability, there’s a volunteer spot with your name on it.

Volunteering can be a brilliant way to boost your mental wellbeing. It’s a great feeling knowing you’re helping young people get skills for life, and you might even learn a lot about yourself along the way.
